Do we wish to be righteous again?
A little more than 50 years ago, Mount Ranier blew her top and buried Puyallup in tons of ash and lava. After that, the livable area in Puyallup was flooded in refugees from the NAN states. Most of the district is a wasteland; from the boiling geysers of Hell’s Kitchen lava field to the metahuman ghettos. Everyone living here coughs up black crap from their lungs, and even the children know that any cut or scrape will likely lead to infection and death. Because of Mount Ranier’s constant ash spray these days, Puyallup receives more acid rain than any other district in Seattle
A few places within the Puyallup barrens could be considered “safe”. Lone Star patrols Puyallup City, a clean little enclave kept afloat by Mafia money, but they leave the rest of the district to fend for itself. The elven ghetto of Tarislar, packed with thousands of Tir Tairngire expatriates isn’t to rough either, although they pay Knight Errant to keep the peace, and the Laesa gang keeps things quiet as well. Near the Fort Lewis border, the Loveland area is a battleground between the Mafia and Yakuza, looking to control the vice in the area for off-duty soldiers and any trendy corp-kiddies looking to slum it a little.
The one thing of note for the Shadows is that the Crime Mall is located deep within Puyallup. A good place to pick up black market items and sell anything you might have picked up on a run.
